Description
"Tulu Kavyayana" – A Grand Literary Journey Reviving Tulu Heritage Through 12 Years of Dedicated Effort
To preserve and promote the rich linguistic heritage of Tulunadu, TuluWorld Foundation® has been consistently organizing various literary, oral folklore, and cultural outreach programs over the past 12 years. Among its most prominent initiatives is "Tulu Kavyayana", a literary movement that is now gaining widespread recognition across India.
As part of this campaign:
📌 Over 500 "Paddana Melas" (folk recital gatherings) have been successfully conducted in various parts of the country. Special training camps have been held to teach traditional Paddanas (oral epics) to children and youth.
📌 The oral traditions are being preserved for future generations through audio recordings and digital archiving of Paddanas.
📌 Poetry recitation and public reading camps have become highly popular – with works like Mandara Ramayana, Asani Yag Kanthada Jogi, Beerda Bolpu, Tulu Mahabharata, Shridevi Mahatme, Siri Paddana, and Tulu Janapada Ramayana being taught and performed.
📌 These initiatives have sparked a cultural awakening among Tulu-speaking communities, particularly inspiring the youth to appreciate and reconnect with their mother tongue.
The Tulu Kavyayana movement stands as a determined and collective effort toward the survival and revival of Tulu language and literature. Its success relies greatly on donations, venue support, technical assistance, and the dedicated service of volunteer
